The beauty of things

Early one morning I got up for a walk
I climbed up the hills to reach their tops before dawn
The song of an early bird pleased my ear
Things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

Later this morning I went on with my walk
I passed the sunlit pines and the ancient oaks
My feet dig their way through the fallen leaves
Things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

You don‘t have to move far
Or change who you are
Open your eyes
And be patient with yourself
It may be hidden or burried
So be mindful, don‘t hurry
`cause things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

I arrived at the seaside as the sun stood high
I clambered the dunes to watch the seabirds fly
And as I felt the calming rhythm of the rolling waves
Things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

I made my way home late in the declining sun
I turned my head to see what I‘ve already done
I saw the birds fly south in the red evening sky
Things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

You don‘t have to move far
Or change who you are
Open your mind
And be patient with yourself
It may be hidden or burried
So be mindful, don‘t worry
`cause things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

With the last ray of light I arrived at your house
Through a half open window, there came joyfull noise
And as you opened the door with a heartly smile
Things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find

You don‘t have to move far
Or change who you are
Open your mind
And be patient with yourself
It may be hidden or burried
So be mindful, don‘t worry
`cause things of such beauty ain‘t easy to find
